Rather appropriately, it was Major Nelson who announced that the Call of Duty: Black Ops Escalation DLC will arrive for Xbox Live subscribers on May 3. The pack will include five new maps with four of them supporting multiplayer mayhem. The new maps include “Hotel” (battling on the roof of a Cuban hotel and Casino), “Zoo” (set in Russia), “Stockpile” a tale about WMDs and “Convoy”.

The Call of Duty DLC update is also strongly rumoured to include zombies. In fact, we’re promised a “new zombie experience”. Intriguing stuff. Click the headline and jump into the comments to let us know what you’re after in the next instalment of Call of Duty: Black Ops DLC.

Out May | £TBC | Call of Duty (via Major Nelson)

You can now listen to your Facebook feed thanks to a new unofficial Facebook iPhone app called Friends Aloud. The £1.79 app (also available as a limited ad-supported free app), has a robotic woman’s voice read your Facebook newsfeed to you with the option to include comments as well.

Friends Aloud is a fun little app and could be handy if you want to catch up on Facebook when you need to keep your eyes focused on other things. We’ve tried it and it works well but there’s clearly a need for some more voices to choose from. Check it out yourself and let us know what you make of it by clicking the headline and heading for the comments.

If you’ve spent years idlely dreaming of Superman-style powers of flight or James Bond gadgetry, the Jetlev Flyer could be a dream come true…assuming you have £110,000 to spend. The creation of Canadian engineer Raymond Li, the water-powered machine hovers at up to 30m in the air and can hit speeds of 22mph as you move across the water.

The Jetlev Flyer jetpack is attached to a 10m hose and an engine which also acts as a flotation device. The hose gobbles up water and send it to two nozzles on the user’s back, keeping them aloft. Luckily the £110,000 asking price includes a full training course. Click through to see the Jetlev Flyer speeding around…
