Apple is now the world’s largest handset vendor by revenue, Nokia is number twoFollowing yesterday’s earnings call, the biggest news for Apple was not the record revenue or higher-than-expected earnings per share, it was actually news from Nokia. The Finish manufacturer recorded $9.4 billion in wholesale handset revenue, a full $2.5 billion less than Apple. According to research firm Strategy Analytics this makes Apple the world’s largest vendor of mobile handsets by revenue.
