We’ve been talking about an Apple cloud service for what seems like eons but more clues have popped up that it might be seriously on the cards now. A new job posting on the Apple website calls for a “Cloud Systems Software Engineer” to come and join the gang at its One Infinite Loop HQ…
Apple originally said it was looking for an engineer to build “the future of cloud services at Apple” but all references to “the cloud” have now been removed and replaced with the more generic term “web”. Looks like someone was a little bit too enthusiastic about Apple’s cloud plans.
With Amazon Cloud Drive out in the wild, we really do expect Apple to pull the covers off its iTunes cloud service and a MobileMe update. The time is surely now!
