The images show the Windows 8 App Store is not a million miles away from the Mac App Store in looks and execution (we spotted Angry Birds lurking in there) and also partially explains why that Microsoft/Apple battle over the term “app store” has been hotting up recently.
Rumours suggest that the Windows 8 App Store has sailed through its internal testing and will arrive in beta fairly soon. Hopefully the Windows 8 App Store might encourage PC makers to ship less bloatware.
