Grub’s up! Sit down and tuck into all the morning’s tech news, right here in our lunchtime lowdown roundup, with everything from Symbian burning like a supernova to handy iPhone apps to speed up your day.
First up, let’s talk mobile – specifically, Nokia. We were live at the company’s launch today to catch the news on the new Nokia X7 and BlackBerry-alike Nokia E6 smartphones, as well as the big firmware update coming to all new Symbian phones. But are they enough to stay relevant when a Nokia Windows Phone 7 handset is in the pipeline? We also heard from a former Nokia exec who tells us of his own woes with Symbian in an exclusive interview.
Elsewhere in mobile, we checked out a new Facebook iPhone app that reads out your updates to you, while in computing, screens revealing Microsoft’s Windows 8 App Store leaked out.
Finally, we saw an incredible new water powered jetpack that’d make even Sean Connery in Thunderbolt jealous – check out the video!
