The HTC Sensation packs in all-new HTC Sense 3.0 software. It’s designed to be smarter and more efficient than previous versions, with tons of new features. Read on and we’ll spill the beans on its best bits to save you oodles of time!

Snaps in a snap!
The HTC Sensation’s new Instant Capture feature means there’s no delay between pressing the shutter button and taking a photo. It might mean just a few milliseconds difference, but because it makes grabbing that elusive snap much easier you’ll never have to re-take a shot because your subject whizzed by too quickly.
Paired with a dual LED flash to illuminate dingy subjects and freeze them in action, the HTC Sensation lets you grab the exact composition you saw on screen when tapping the shutter, and not the one which appeared half a second after you removed your finger!
Smart lock screen
The new lock screen featured inside HTC Sense 3.0 lets you set your favourite application shortcuts to appear without unlocking the phone. Drag the icon to the bottom of the screen and release it to open the app directly. You might place the Camera app on the lock screen, so you can load it and be ready to take than one-off photo in record time. Maybe you’ll put your email or calendar there, to make sure you’re constantly connected to the office on the road?
Whichever shortcuts you choose, there are several lock screen themes too, and some of them offer up more instant information to go with those shortcuts. One will show the latest information from contacts you specify, while another automatically shows the HTC Weather widget and Friend Stream, letting you scope out the climate and tell what your mates are up to in a jiffy.
Two finger homescreen carousel
Place two fingers on the HTC Sensation’s screen and you’ll be able to swipe through its seven homescreens with a slick new 3D effect. The new homescreen carousel lets you spin through all your homescreens and simply tap the one you want to jump to. That cuts down on swiping between homescreens and means you’ll quickly find whatever you’re looking for.
Keyboard improvements
HTC’s keyboards are already amongst the best in the Android ecosystem, but that doesn’t mean HTC is satisfied. The new HTC Sensation offers a tweaked keyboard and improvements to predictive text. It’s now much more likely to guess the word you’re typing correctly. How’s that for a timesaver?
Sense legacy inside
Because HTC Sense 3.0 is built on the solid foundation of previous Sense technology, all the old Sense skills are still on board.
Handy features such as silent ringer, which mutes your ringtone if you place the phone face-down on a flat surface; fading volume, which quietens your ringtone as you pick up the phone from a desk or table; and birthday reminders, to make sure you never miss a buddy’s big day are all on board!
