We’re pretty sure the HTC Sensation was supposed to be a secret, likely until this afternoon’s London press conference. Unfortunately/fortunately, Vodafone jumped the gun today and set live its own product page for the upcoming Android 2.3 smartphone, and revealing all the headline specs in the process. Read on for what to expect.

A pre-order page over at Vodafone’s online shop appeared this morning, only to be quickly yanked, but not before publications pounced and snatched specs and a picture: as expected, the HTC Sensation sports a 4.3-inch qHD (960×540) screen, 8MP camera and front cam, and is fuelled by a 1.2GHz dual core processor. Sounds like a tidy replacement for the HTC Desire HD at the top of the line.

Don’t believe us? You can still see the page details on Google. HTC’s press conference kicks off from 1.30pm today, and we’ll be there live, so expect more then, and for that page to come back to life soon after.
