Samsung Galaxy Tab WiFi edition lands April 10th, priced to sellJust when you thought the original Galaxy Tab had reached the finish line in its product cycle, Samsung throws us a curveball. A WiFi-only edition of the 7-inch Samsung Galaxy Tab will debut next week (April 10) in the US for $349. There are three confirmed online retailers planning on picking up inventory of the tablet, here’s what we know:

If you’re in the market for a 7-inch Samsung Galaxy Tab WiFi-only edition you’ll want to start keeping your eyes peeled at one of the three websites: CompUSA, Circuit City or Tiger Direct. Packing the same 7-inch TFT 1024 x 600 resolution display and running Android 2.2, the world’s first mainstream Android tablet should receive a warm welcome.

There’s 32GB of internal storage alongside a microSD expansion slot which supports up to 32GB of additional storage for a grand total of 64GB. The WiFi-only edition weighs in at just 13 ounces and measures 12 millimeters thin, making it extremely pocketable. As Samsung’s self-described “first truly mobile tablet on the market”, we’ll be watching this launch closely now that the original iPad has received its own price drop.

After seeing the Galaxy Tab running an Android 3.0 Honeycomb port yesterday, is anyone else considering a purchase?
