The new Acer Iconia 6120 is a sexy dual-screen “Touchbook” headed to North America. The Iconia 6120 packs two 14-inch LED backlit touchscreen displays protected by Gorilla Glass and a speed Intel’s Core i5 processor under the hood. According to a report in Bloomberg this morning, Google may be following Microsoft’s lead to require hardware standardization on their mobile operating system. Will Google lay the law down on manufacturers?
A rumored contract to supply Apple with new LCD displays for the iPad 2 was all it took for the stock market to rally today. Taiwain’s AU Optronics Corp shares jumped as much as six percent on Thursday after the news broke. According a the press release this morning, the Streak 7 will be sold directly on Dell’s UK website for £299, including VAT and shipping. Powered by Android 2.2 and the custom Stage UI software UI overlay, this might be the Tegra 2-powered tablet you’ve been waiting for.
