Amazon outed Amazon Cloud Drive and Amazon Cloud Player overnight, bringing cloud music streaming and storage to Amazon users way ahead of an iTunes Cloud service or Google Music.

There’s no word on a UK version of Amazon Cloud Drive but the US system looks intriguing. The new Amazon Cloud Player adds a “Save to Amazon Cloud Drive” button for saving MP3s and gives you the option to throw music from your hard drive up into the cloud.

Apparently the United States Army agrees and just awarded ATK, a Minneapolis, Minn. weapons maker, a $65.8 million contract to make the ‘Punisher’ gun a reality.
