Yesterday we revealed that O2 was planning to reveal new iPhone tariffs, which would allow you to tether your Apple smartphone’s 3G connection to other devices without extra charge. We’ve since heard that the big reveal for these new deals will be later this month: read on for the details.
This iPad NES controller set up is pretty sweet. Joven from ProtoDojo and his team whipped it up using an Arduino board as controller for a set of servos linked to a wired NES controller. The servos move conductive arms that touch the iPad screen in the correct places. It’s a slightly Heath Robinson solution but we’d still love a go. The HTC Ignite, a new HTC Windows Phone 7 device, appears to have been leaked to Chinese blog xda.cn. The blog has a patchy record on rumours and its predictions here seem a little off…
Here’s an intriguing Nokia patent application: in May 2010, Nokia submitted a patent filing for a device that looks like a Nokia N8 reborn as a tablet. The mysterious Nokia N8 tablet device has a 3.5mm headphone jack, additional ports at the top with HDMI in the mix and a pretty swish looking casing.
Since the Nokia N8 tablet was clearly in the works before the Nokia Windows Phone 7 announcement, who knows if we’ll ever see this device. Click the headline and let us know: would you like to see Nokia building this tablet?

Sega and Capcom are turning sales of several of their iPhone games to support the Japanese Red Cross in its relief efforts following the tsunami and during the ongoing nuclear effort in Japan. The games included in the sale from which Sega will donate 100% of its profits include every Sonic The Hedgehog title (so Sonic The Hedgehog Episode 4 and my favourite Sonic The Hedgehog 2 are in there). Meanwhile Capcom is donating profits from Streetfighter IV. Sega says it will donate all revenues from those games until March 22. Good on you guys!
