Angry Birds Free for PC outed

If you’ve got a PC, you can get Angry Birds free. The Intel AppUp Center and BestBuy have teamed up to make the game free for a limited time and its simple to snap up.

All you need to do is download the AppUp Center from the Best Buy website below (reinstall AppUp Center if you’ve already got it) and register for a new account. Make sure you say you live in the US, even if you don’t, and logging in will reveal Angry Birds for free. There’s a nice gift for a Thursday morning.

Here’s an odd iPad 2 bug: the Apple Discussions forums are reverberating with reports that the iPad 2 front camera locks up when using the FaceTime app to establish a video call.

The bug doesn’t affect every iPad 2 but it appears to be down to an iOS issue that should be relatively simple to fix. According to iPad 2 user reports, you need to restart to unfreeze the camera. Hopefully we’ll see a fix in time for the iPad 2′s UK debut tomorrow.

Apple AirPlay TV plans rumoured

Apple AirPlay slings audio from Apple devices to AirPlay speakers and the like right now but Bloomberg says that feature is set to expand. The rumour claims Apple is set to begin licensing AirPlay for video streaming with HDTVs with AirPlay on the cards.

The move would allow movies and TV shows to be flinged from your iPhone, iPod touch to a larger display. It sounds like a very sensible expansion to the AirPlay functionality and slightly more believable than the Apple HDTV rumours.

BlackBerry PlayBook to rival iPad 2 10 hour battery life?RIM has kept battery details for its upcoming BlackBerry PlayBook on the hush — that is, until now. The 5300 mAh battery has been the subject of much speculation, but today Staples has taken the initiative by listing battery life information online. Look at their website, the page clearly states, “10 hours with continual use”.
