The Sonos Controller for Android was meant to arrive at the end of March but we’re here and it’s not. Sonos’ VP of Quality has popped up on the firm’s forums to explain why:

“We know you’re anxiously awaiting the Sonos Controller for Android. Unfortunately, testing the app is taking a bit longer than we anticipated. The latest addition to our free controller-line up won’t arrive until April but when it does, it is going to rock.”

That’s encouraging and we hope that April deadline sticks!

We know an Angry Birds TV show is in the works and an Angry Birds movie has also been mentioned but we doubt it’ll look anything like the spoof from Rooster Teeth.

Let’s be honest, iOS rumours are a crap shoot. The latest iOS 5 whisper is that Apple will drop the next major update of the OS for the iPad, iPhone and iPod touch in Autumn this year rather than in Spring as is usually the case. Torben made the story about an animation student who nearly misses his assignment deadline with the Kinect used to script the animation of a stick figure model. You can see it after the break. Google showed its NFC card with the Google Nexus S and now the Wall Street Journal is reporting that its set to take the next step with an NFC hookup with MasterCard and Citigroup.

According to the Journal, the demo pairs the Google Nexus S with “many coming models of Android phones” and ties them up with Citigroup-sponsored credit and debit cards using MasterCard payment technology.
