The iTunes cloud chatter has been loud and confusing recently so it’s interesting to see Bill Ngyuen, the former-CEO of LaLa, the streaming service Apple snapped up, talking about what it might do next. In an interview with Fortune, he confirms that Apple bought the company “for the people” rather than the streaming cloud service it had built.

Fortune threw the idea that Apple is working on an iTunes cloud service at Ngyuen and he suggests that the company may actually be working on a hardware and software platform for other companies like Pandora or Netflix to buy into. You can see Ngyuen talking after the break. Let us know what you make of his theory in the comments.
