T-Mobile UK is pulling in the anchor and setting course for Android Utopia. The carrier updated its coming soon section of its website and now lists the LG Optimus Black, Samsung Galaxy Ace, Sony Ericsson Xperia Play, HTC Desire S and Motorola Atrix as coming soon. The latter of the five devices is certainly the highlight and all signs point to a June 2011 release.
There’s nothing like Android quintuplets to start off your morning. That’s exactly the way the cards have been dealt for T-Mobile UK users. First up, the LG Optimus Black which is on track for a March release. With a 1 GHz processor, 5-megapixel camera and Android 2.2, this is the ultra-sleek smartphone to elevate your game. The Samsung Galaxy Ace, also due out in March, matches the 5-megapixel camera of the Optimus Black, includes a 2GB memory card, but runs a slightly slower 800 MHz processor.

The Sony Ericsson Xperia Play, more commonly known as the Playstation phone, takes off in April. As the world’s first Playstation certified smartphone, the Xperia Play runs Android 2.3 and comes pre-loaded with six games. Also landing in April is the HTC Desire S, another Android 2.3 smartphone which includes highlights such as a 5-megapixel camera and 720p HD video recording.
Now the creme de la creme, the Motorola Atrix. This dual-core monster first took our breath away at CES 2011 in Las Vegas. Powered by Android 2.2, this smartphone/laptop hybrid features a 16GB memory card and looks to redefine the term “mobile computing”. We’re chomping at the bit as we look to track down a review unit of the Atrix, but the official release is June 2011.
