The Daily will be hitting your iPad in the UK at some point in the first half of this year – before the end of June according to Jonathan Miller, the chief digital officer at News Corporation.

Pushing The Daily out across new territories depends on the rollout of Apple’s new subscription model, but if all goes to plan Western Europe should be seeing The Daily within a few months. Whether that means we’ll get a UK specific version or a European version is yet to be seen.

“Western Europe is up first in not too long from now,” said Miller. He also went on to say that US subscribers would soon have to start coughing up to read the paper: “We will charge for it but we haven’t started yet. We have our beginning moment of truth next week when we start to ask people to get out their wallets,” he said.

After getting glimpses of The Daily, will you subscribe when it hits the UK? Shout out in the comments!
