Amidst the onslaught of iPad 2 news and reviews, it’s time to break ground in the Android department. According to leaked images from droid-life, the WiFi-only Samsung Galaxy Tab will be released on April 4th and priced at $399. Unfortunately it appears Android 2.2 Froyo is still in tow and there’s no word on a Honeycomb upgrade date.
Android fans will finally have formidable option to the original iPad’s $399 price point next month. On April 4th when the WiFi-only Galaxy Tab goes on sale, Android tablets will finally be on a level playing field at the cash register. Unfortunately, dual-core and Honeycomb have become the buzz words in the Android community so we’re not exactly sure how many will jump at the offer.
Rather than speculate, go ahead and sound off. Will you consider the Samsung Galaxy Tab WiFi-only edition or hold your ground for the WiFi-only Motorola Xoom, rumored to be launching later this month for about $200 more? If neither of these options sounds enticing, how about the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1?
