The Samsung Galaxy S will be getting the Android Gingerbread 2.3 update at the end of March, according to Samsung’s Romanian Facebook page. The Samsung Galaxy S Froyo upgrade will stop being available on the 20 March, and after that the Android Gingerbread upgrade will be available. That means that if you’ve got an unlocked Samsung Galaxy S you can expect to see the upgrade available some time after 20 March, although we don’t know exactly when.

Sadly many of you with a Samsung Galaxy S locked to a mobile network will have to wait, as those networks will be running their rigourous stress tests to make sure nothing is going to upset the network.
