Nintendo 3DS gets the five-star treatment
Whatever you think of Nintendo’s decision to go 3D, it works. The 3D really does pop up. For some it will take some getting used to, but you can always switch the 3D effect off. 3D isn’t the only talent going for the 3DS – it’s augmented reality skills really make it stand out. It looks like Nintendo has crafted something pretty special. The potential is massive. Read more about it here.
Super Street Fighter 4 3D: Near-perfect handheld fighting
Damien McFerran this week has been playing Super Street Fighter 4 3D for the Nintendo 3DS. From his verdict, some of us are wishing it was us in the Street Fighter 4 3D hot seat. He praised it, handing the fighter a full five stars and branding Super Street Fighter 4 3D “a near-perfect portable copy of the home edition.” High praise indeed.
Fable 3 Traitor’s Keep DLC: Because it’s worth it
The Fable games haven’t always had a good record for the quality of its downloadable content. Traitor’s Keep bucks that trend by being fun and great value for money. At only 560 Microsoft points it costs little under a fiver and provides a fun few hours of fight-filled Fable gameplay.
Olympus E-PL2: The best in its range, but not quite THE best
The E-PL2 is the latest in Olympus’ vintage PEN range. It delivers great picture quality and a fantastically sturdy build made to handle the rough and tumble of daily use. Unfortunately its video skills aren’t quite up to par with some if its rivals. Four stars means it is still worth a look in.
