There’s better social search for Facebook, Facebook Groups, Twitter, Flickr and Google Reader with the results displayed in Flipboard’s magazine-style layout, Instagram integration, faster rendering and two new partners (Wired.com and photo blog Pictory).

There’s also some UI changes including a clearer way to refresh content and a new featured ribbon to highlight editors’ picks. You’ll be able to grab the new Flipboard this Friday on the current iPad and we’d bet lots of people will open it as one of the first apps to oggle on the iPad 2.
