This morning there’s big news for all you PAYG hounds, as Three has scrapped data caps and fair usage for its PAYG customers, a couple of months after it binned all data caps for its The One Plan contracts. That’s unlimited in the true sense of the word, with no small print loopholes to catch you unawares. We’d love to see other networks take the plunge too, but we’re not so sure about anyone else following suit.

Rumour suggests there’s trouble brewing at RIM, as RIM Chief Marketing Officer, Keith Pardy (formely of Nokia), is leaving the fold. RIM says it’s down to “personal reasons” but the WSJ says otherwise.

In Windows Phone 7 world we got a brief eyeful of the Sony Ericsson Windows Phone 7. Sony Ericsson were announced as a Windows Phone 7 partner, but no devices have appeared yet. We’re expecting to hear more on this in the next few months.

We also got a look at the next generation of children’s toys, refracted through the creepy lens of an AI patent filed by IBM. Read either as Hal masquerading as furry friend to your children, or a teddy that does the telling off for you.
