Nikon D4: first Thunderbolt DSLR?

The Nikon D4 could join the new Macbook Pro models with Thunderbolt-support if a tasty rumour is true. Talk of Light Peak support in the Nikon D4 has been rattling around for a while but it came tied to the promise of Light Peak-enabled computers first.

Now the Macbook Pro comes packing Thunderbolt, it seems eminently possible that the Nikon D4 rumour will come to fruition to make it the first Thunderbolt DSLR. For folk shooting tonnes of HD video, a Thunderbolt-packing DSLR would be a dream. Let’s hope we get it!
