Thank you Samsung. At an event for Samsung bloggers in Frankfurt today, the manufacturer confirmed Android 2.3 Gingerbread will be coming to the Galaxy S in March. If you ride the mobile highways with a European unlocked Galaxy S, your time to shine starts next month.

We’ve just received our new MacBook Pro. Before we dive into the review, read on, gawp at our hands-on photos and get set for some first impressions. Oh, and feel free to suggest anything you want us to do with our new aluminium baby in the comments section.
Games journos have been receiving bloodied dog tags in the post. Not in a mafia-style threat context, but that direct them to a website where a countdown has begun. The site is called www.findmakarov.com, and the dog tags also have the message “end the war” printed on them. At the time of writing there’s just under five days on the countdown clock.
Makarov probably refers to Vladimir Makarov, the leader of an Ultranationalist terrorist cell in Modern Warfare 2. This in turn would signal that the promo stunt going on, which will reach zero on Wednesday next week, has at the very least something to do with Modern Warfare 3, possibly a launch announcement.
