That Sony PS3 jailbreak ban that was announced with much publicity this week? It’s already been hacked by the army of modders out there. A hack that is now doing the rounds reportedly gives players the power to unban themselves and, if they know a console’s ID, can ban someone else’s console. It’s all getting a bit heated out there. Don’t expect Sony to take this hack lying down.

That iPhone mini rumour? Total bunk according to The New York Times which says Apple will not release a slimmed-down smartphone any time soon…

Though the Wall Street Journal (a frequent conduit for Apple controlled leaks) has repeated the iPhone mini rumour, the NYT says “people briefed on Apple’s plans” state that Apple is not developing a smaller phone.

The report goes on to claim that an iPhone mini would not necessarily be cheaper to produce and adding an additional screen would simply complicate matters for developers. Still, we’ve still got iPhone 5 and iPad 2 to look forward to if the iPhone mini is a myth.
