The titles (which may be going under descriptive labels rather than final names) are Fishing, Graffiti, AR Shot, Mii Pics and Star Pics. Yesterday Sony unveiled its Vaio C Series, a 14-inch laptop that comes in a variety of neon colours, and is coated in a plastic that refracts light, pulling it in and scattering it out along the edges, so it looks like your laptop is straight out of Tron. Of course, there’s also the more conventional black and a silvery white version, but who wants black when you can have a sickly neon orange? Recently awarded Apple patents conceal an interesting little icon marked E-Wallet. That’s intriguing with rumours rattling around that iPhone 5 will mark the point that Apple puts its piles of NFC research out into the teal world. The patent could indicate a possible name and icon for the Apple NFC app but there are other possibilities.

The long wait for Android Gingerbread on the Nexus One is over…almost. Google has begun pushing Android Gingerbread Nexus One updates. The rollout is expected to take a few days. Meanwhile Google Nexus S owners are getting an OTA update too with fixes for bugs and a power-up for the built-in NFC smarts.
