Apple’s MobileMe online services suite were pulled from retail and ditched from its online store yesterday and now the service is down for maintenance. Steve Jobs promised an updated MobileMe sometime this year so all this messing about suggest we’ll be getting just that during the iPad 2 event or perhaps even sooner…
During the annual Apple stockholders meeting on Wednesday, Tim Cook told investors that Apple’s $1bn data centre is opening this spring. Cook confirmed that party of the purpose of the new data centre is to support iTunes and MobileMe. It now looks like a lock that Apple will give us a iTunes cloud services and a MobileMe power up very soon. But will we get free MobileMe? Let us know what you think in the comments.
