This is not the same 1984 Apple ad that we covered a while back, that was directed by Ridley Scott. No siree, this is a much jollier affair, with Apple promising to tidy up your desk, soundtracked by a bastardised version of “What a Feelin’!” For the full video of Friday’s archive dig, click through.
Instead of “What a feelin’!”, the lyrics are “We are Apple!”. This is a promo video from a marketing event back in the day. It’s interesting to see that the sort of tribe mentality was apparent even back then. It’s also baffling to think that once, advertising just promised products that were good, not the tenuous sort of storylines we get from perfume and car adverts these days.
