The Nintendo 3DS will come with six augmented reality games preloaded and an anonymous source has spilled details on them to Wired. The titles (which may be going under descriptive labels rather than final names) are Fishing, Graffiti, AR Shot, Mii Pics and Star Pics. Our Nintendo 3DS games hands-on shows how impressed we were with the device’s potential and the AR games look the most fun so far. Click through for more details on each game…
AR Shot
Reportedly “a sort of combination of pool and miniature golf”. Aim at the ball with a cue and hit it around the course, hoping to sink it in the hole at the far end.
Fishing
Any flat surface become a fishing pond. You lower and raise your rod into the water to pull out bigger and bigger fish. Eventually, a shark might pop out of the water.
Graffiti
A 3-D drawing application with different paintbrushes and other visual effects, including fire. You can then mess about with the resulting 3-D image.
Star Pics
Lots of Nintendo 3DS AR games use cards. Star Pics is one of those with cards dedidcted to famous Nintendo characters including Mario, Link and Kirby.
Mii Pics
Reportedly similar to Star Pics, Mii Pics use your Mii Avatar and those of your friends to create an interactive photo shoot.
