According to AllThingsD, the world of tablets will weather a storm up next week. The iPad 2 will be announced on March 2nd in San Francisco. This is not the first time we’ve heard iPad 2 predictions, but apparently “several sources close to the situation” are in accord.
Depending on who you ask, the iPad 2 is delayed or on schedule for an announcement next week. As 9to5Mac points out, AllThingsD’s Kara Swisher has missed with previous Apple event dates. However, being the technological optimists that we are, we’ll bite this time and embody the glass half full philosophy for Apple’s big day.
With the heat of CES and MWC finally reduced to a simmer, Apple will have a chance to battle back against the Motorola Xoom set to be released this Thursday, February 24th. The real question left on the table is if Apple announces the iPad 2 next week, when will we see it in stores? Anyone care to take a guess?
