It looks like the Apple Genius will bust out of the Apple Store with home visits. There’s lots of whispers surrounding a special meeting for Apple retail employees planned for this Sunday. Apple staffers have been asked to sign non-disclosure agreeements (not a standard move at the events).
Those claims have immediately sparked a storm of rumours about the new Macbook Pro and iPad 2…
However it seems the subject of the meeting may be JointVenture, a plan for extending the Genius Bar services for small businesses and ‘prosumers’. Subscribers to the new service will reportedly be able to speak to an Apple Genius by phone (previously verbotten) and request on-site visits. The question is: will we have to wait as long as we do when we schlep down to the Apple Store?
