Along with a family desktop PC full of gesture tech, Sony also announced this range of blindingly bright neon monsters, the Sony Vaio C series. If you’re not blinded by the light, read on, to find out how these things are actually kicking light out of their plastic bodies.

The Sony Vaio C series comes in five colours: green, orange, and pink, plus more subdued Black and silver colour options for the less adventurous tech head. The neon colours are a bit special though: the design of the Vaio C series laptops means that the body “scatters light along edges of the translucent PC lid and other key surfaces to create a dramatic glow effect”.

In other words, they actually glow. Whether you want that in a laptop is a choice we leave you to make for yourselves.

On to the specs. The Sony Vaio C series is a 14-inch laptop with a HD web camera built in, a 3D ready HDMI output and dedicated one touch web access. There’s a backlit keyboard, an Intel i5 processor, four USB ports, 4GB of RAM and a 320GB hard drive.

We reckon it should come with a disclaimer: not to be used while nursing a hangover.

What colour Sony Vaio C Series would you go for? Boring black and silver or super novelty light emitting neons?
