We’ve been saying for months that a BlackBerry Bold Touch is what RIM needs to resolve the critical battering it’s been on the end of for its emailer of late. And judging by the latest leak, that’s what we’re going to get – plus a BlackBerry Storm 3 too.

N4BB has landed what appear to be the first in the flesh photos of a BlackBerry Bold Touch (AKA the BlackBerry Dakota), with a traditional portrait QWERTY keyboard, and a touchscreen for pinch to zooming on BlackBerry 6′ polished new web browser.

According to the site, the BlackBerry Bold Touch will have a 2.8-inch 640×480 screen, sharper than any previous BlackBerry, plus a five megapixel camera and 512MB of RAM. The big deal however is that keyboard, which looks curved and ridged just like the original Bold 9000′s QWERTY – easily the best physical keyboard on any smartphone. Ever.

The BlackBerry Bold Touch wasn’t the only RIM-related leak over the weekend however: over on the CrackBerry forums, first details and video of a BlackBerry Storm 3 phone popped up.

While it’s not clear whether it will be officially called the BlackBerry Storm 3, the tipster claims it will be around 11.5mm thick, and fuelled by a blazingly fast 1.2GHz CPU, matching a previous leak last month. Perhaps most importantly, the screen resolution will be upped to a more acceptable 80×480 resolution – while the display itself is stretched to 3.7-inches.

We don’t have launch dates for the BlackBerry Bold Touch or BlackBerry Storm 3 yet, but we’d hazard a guess that they might make an appearance at RIM’s BlackBerry World expo in Orlando, Florida at the start of May.
