Apple might not bother showing up at Mobile World Congress each year, but that’s not stopped the iPhone 4 snaffling the ‘Best Mobile Device’ award at this year’s GSMA awards, held at the Barcelona-based mobile bash last night.
The GSMA, which runs the annual mobile event, handed Apple’s blower the prestigious award despite last year’s antennagate crisis. It’s a move that’s bound to infuriate rivals Samsung and HTC, which both had strong claims for the top prize with the Galaxy S and Desire respectively. HTC at least walked away with the ‘Manufacturer of the Year’ crown.
Is Apple’s award justified? Or should its antenna woes have stopped it from winning. Hit up the comments below and let us know what you reckon.
