Dennis Crowley, CEO and co-founder of Foursquare, has revealed users will soon be able to receive recommendations based on their friends’ favourite shops, restaurants and attractions. Speaking at Mobile World Congress, he said it’d arrive soon too, as early as next month.

Speaking at Mobile World Congress, Crowley said “Say you know more sushi places than anyone else. You can see where we’re going with this stuff. Look at what Amazon did with recommendations. Look at what Netflix did. Wait until the end of the quarter and you’ll see some really interesting things.”
The end of the quarter? That’s the end of March, by our calendar. So stay tuned, reconsider firing up Foursquare (we know Facebook Places and Deals have taken your affections recently), and prepare to find a ton of new sushi shacks soon, recommended by people you trust.
