Acer’s unnamed top-end Android blower, outed at a New York shindig last November, has just been christened the Acer Iconia Smart. And boy is Acer going all out to make its latest Google phone stand out from the crowd. It packs a massive 4.8-inch, 21:9 screen, with the mobile maker being as bold as to say it’s ‘100% smartphone, 100% tablet.’
As well as the epic panel, which packs a 1024×480 resolution for full web page browsing, the Acer Iconia Smart is loaded up with Android 2.3 Gingerbread, continuing the MWC theme of using the very latest smartphone version of Google’s OS.
There’s an 8 megapixel peeper with LED flash, and a 2MP snapper on the front for video conferencing and the like. HSDPA, Wi-Fi N, Bluetooth 2.1, Dolby Mobile, HDMI out, DLNA, Flash 10.1 and a Gyroscope complete the picture, making this a specced up powerhouse.
The bad news? Acer hasn’t slapped the Iconia Smart with a price tag or release date, meaning we could be kept waiting. Hit up the comments and be sure to tell us what you think of this latest effort from Acer.
