The Samsung announcements for MWC 2011 have been all but official since the press conference schedule was leaked a couple of weeks ago. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 was in that list, but we didn’t quite know what it was. Speculation mixed with reasoning pointed to a 10.1-inch Galaxy Tab, because there wasn’t much else it could be. Now it’s been confirmed. Read on for more details of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 is going to be a 10.1-inch Android Honeycomb powered tablet. there’ll also be some aesthetic changes on the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 – the back will be black instead of white.

The source of the info also said that the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 will be slimmer, and lighter than the 7-inch Samsung Galaxy Tab, and will have a dual core processor and 8MP camera. There’s no news on whether the phone function will survive the expanded screen size.

We’ll be getting the full details of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 at MWC 2011 next week,w here we’ll be reporting from the front line, and hopefully getting our grubby mitts on the Tab 2, so stay tuned.
