Number 169 of 500 limited edition Leica M9 Titanium editions has been given a ceremonious unboxing, and boy, that’s some lovely packaging, as you’d expect with a camera that set you back £20k. Frankly, we’re surprised that one of the Leica M9 Titanium beauties has been taken out of the box at all – it’s like driving a new car off the forecourt, in that the value drops immediately. But we’re glad too: what’s the point in having something as gorgeous as the Leica M9 Titanium if you aren’t going to use it or show it off? Sure, it’s £20k, but what’s the point in spending £20k if you aren’t going to make the best of it?

The Leica M9 Titanium is created collaboration with Walter de’Silva, chief designer of the Volkswagen Group. It’s sloshed in titanium, and the lens is a Leica Summilux-M 35mm f/1.4 ASPH. It’s also scratch resistant.
