At CP+, the Japanese photography conference, Sony has been showing off this awesome mock up of a mid-range Sony Alpha SLT (that stands for Single Lens Translucent camera).
The Sony camera uses Sony’s translucent mirror tech, which means that the clunky mechanics of the DSLR are minimised, by the seemingly paradoxical translucent mirror in the body, and are already in the Sony Alpha A55 and A33.
The Sony Alpha is slated for release later this year, but it’s not likely it will make it out of Japan, which is a shame, because aside from it looking incredible, it has fast continuous autofocus, and a new sensor.
Do you want to see this new Sony Alpha SLT on these shores? Shout out in the comments!
