The world’s first handset with LG’s Nova display is now alive and kicking on T-mobile UK’s website. We first uncovered the LG Optimus Black at CES 2011, now it’s listed as “coming soon” on the T-mobile UK, with a possible March release date.
It appears T-mobile UK customers will have the first chance to get their hands on the LG Optimus Black. For now, there’s no word on pricing, but this is the first time we’ve seen a carrier out the handset.
Just to refresh your memory, the LG Optimus Black runs Android 2.2 Froyo and measures just 9.2 mm in thickness. Standard features include WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, HSPA connectivity, GPS, a five megapixel camera, HD video recording, a two megapixel front-facing camera and a 1GHz processor.
We’ll be following this story closely, but rest assure we’ll be breaking plenty more LG Optimus Black news in the coming weeks. For those of you worried about Android 2.3 Gingerbread (myself included), LG has assured us that the Optimus Black is “upgradable to Android 2.3”, so rest assure an update is coming.
