Yet another reason to look forward to Mobile World Congress: it could see the unveiling of the HTC Pyramid, HTC’s first dual-core Android phone. As well as its 1.2GHz dual-core Snapdragon CPU, the HTC Pyramid will reportedly tote a 4.3-inch screen and hit the US in May 2011.
The rumour comes courtesy of Android and Me, which claims it received tips from two separate sources concerning the HTC Pyramid. These sources said that the phone would launch with T-Mobile in the US, while Android and Me surmises that the phone could well end up on more than one network. It also believes it will support 1080p HD video recording.
There’s nothing in the story about a European or UK launch for the HTC Pyramid, but we’ll cross our fingers and hope that more is revealed at Mobile World Congress, which kicks off on 14 February.
