Sky has announced that in the first few months after the 1 October launch of Sky 3D it has racked up over 70,000 members already. John Cassy, Sky 3D’s channel director said: “Around half of all 3D TVs sold in the UK are connected to Sky 3D, with thousands more joining every week.” He went on to say that all Sky 3D customers are tuning into Sky 3D on a weekly basis. The next 3D step from Sky is its 100th live sports 3D broadcast, and the addition of performances by Diversity, more Attenborough documentaries, and some 3D opera from ENO.
