Some enterprising chap on eBay with the username jaybuysthings has worked out the identity of the artist Banksy. To clarify: he’s not got any Banksy artwork or anything like that, he’s just worked it out from tax records and now will give a piece of paper with Banksy’s real name on to the highest bidder. The spread of Kinect has been mindblowing to watch with an unofficial Mac Kinect tool on the Mac App Store and numerous Kinect hacks but official PC and Mac drivers could arrive imminently. Sources, allegedly from within Microsoft, suggest that driver support and an SDK are due “in the coming months and will allow third-party developers to create titles that utlilise the Kinect sensor when plugged into a computer.” The rumour also suggests XNA Game Studio is involved to bring Kinect to Xbox Live’s indie games. At CES 2011, Steve Ballmer said Kinect for Windows would come “in the right time”, so the rumour doesn’t seem all that wild.
