Nintendo is showing off its Nintendo 3DS later on today in Amsterdam, and while we’ll be there reporting from the front line, Nintendo will also be streaming the presentation live via webcast for all to see. If you fancy watching the action as it happens, then head over here, and cross your fingers that the video feed doesn’t fall over under the weight. Nintendo will be broadcasting the main presentation, then some first hand reactions to the Nintendo 3DS and glimpses of games that will be hitting the Nintendo 3DS in the months to come. The Nintendo 3DS broadcast starts at 3pm CET today, which is 2pm GMT.

Angry Birds is fast becoming a fully-fledged multimedia titan. As well as the forthcoming Angry Birds board game, it’s been revealed that the Angry Birds animated series is now in production. TV industry websites are reporting that Rovio has got the series into its late stages but so far we’ve not seen how those Angry Birds and problematic pigs will be characterised on screen.

Fake Steve Jobs signs off

As the real Steve Jobs takes a medical leave of absence, his online doppelganger is doing the same thing: Fake Steve Jobs, for many years the provocateur of much ire at Cupertino, has signed off to give his real life counterpart a break.

“For obvious reasons I won’t be blogging here anymore, though I will leave the archives up” says Fake Steve Jobs, outed as Newsweek journo Daniel Lyons some time ago. Lyons did the same thing in 2008, around the same time Jobs was first reported as suffering from pancreatic cancer.

There’s a bit of fruity language following Lyons’ latest blogging cessation, which we’ll leave you to read for yourself. Personally, we support him. Apple news? Bring it on, but you won’t find us poring over Steve’s personal health matters, and shame on those who do.

Windows Phone 7? Pah! You want a Windows 8 phone. You just might have to wait a little while. During Intel’s latest earnings call, CEO Paul Otellini revealed plans for Windows 8 phones. Yep, now Windows Phone 7, Otellini is already onto the next operating system…
