The LG Optimus 2X, the first dual core smartphone to make it to market, will be arriving in white as well. The news comes from LG marketing boss Ken Hong, who said on Flickr: “World’s first dual-core smartphone – LG Optimus 2X – now available in Korea, white version coming in Feb.” This could be good news for the patient among you, who still have eyes for the elusive white iPhone 4. The LG Optimus 2X is due to hit UK shores in February.

A US Spotify launch has been on the cards for years now, and with recent rumours that at least one label has signed on to Spotify’s stateside operation, the hype around the Swedish music start up continues to grow and grow – see Gizmodo‘s rave review of it last week and you’ll understand why our American cousins are in a tizzy. But there’s a catch.

It appears plenty of folks in North America have been hunting for backdoor ways to get an early peek at Spotify’s unlimited song service, and some have succeeded, but there’s a time bomb in waiting. If you’re in the US and managed to get Spotify streaming on your PC or Mac, your juicy tunes are about to stop playing.
