Virgin Media has been rolling out 100MB/s broadband for a while, but are there secretly plans to go beyond it sooner rather than later? Today it announced even more people can enjoy 100MB/s connections, as it expands to parts of Hertfordshire, Merseyside and Wales.

All of which prompted us to check our own fibre optic connection in London. Imagine our surprise then when we saw it clocked in at a whopping 186MB/s. That’s right. Almost twice Virgin’s stated maximum.

Dead Space 2 review


Dead Space 2 is the long awaited sequel to the fright-filled 2008 game that had engineer Isaac Clarke trapped on a god-forsaken, bloodthirsty monster-filled vessel with little chance of escape. But, escape he did, setting the scene for a scary sequel. The original remains one of the scariest games around. Dead Space 2 is even more so. This game will make you jump. As well as the Lego torches we’ve also had a look at this Lego Minigure Cabinet: a 45cm tall storage cabinet, with a torso that opens to reveal perfect Lego minifig sized shelves. The company making the Lego cabinet is also making a Lego suitcase – a child sized wheely job with a Lego minifig in relief on the front. Click through for more photos.

There’s a new edition of Bop It out, Bop It XT. This edition comes in white, and has an extra command: “Shake it!”, which involves popping out a square purple nubbin from the side, which is meant to act as some sort of primitive plastic cowbell, and shaking the whole Bop It XT.
