Last September we broke the news of the Acer Liquid Metal Android phone, and now we’ve got one in our hands for review testing at long last. Check it out coming out of its carton right here.
If you’ll recall, the Acer Liquid Metal runs Android 2.2 on an 800MHz CPU, with a 3.6inch WVGA screen and tasty metal backplate. Nice specs for a mid-range smartphone, although we had our concerns with the software skin: the one on the Acer Stream was the worst we’ve ever seen.
We’ve had a quick play around with the Acer Liquid Metal and while we like the metal, semi-brown backing, the screen is awfully recessed below the curved glass front, which could be a bit of an issue.
But hey, we’re not judging an Android phone by first impressions, so we’re going to give the Acer Liquid Metal a full review and report back.
