Facebook has rolled out a new and occasionally quite unsettling featured – ad featuring your friends faces. Facebook Sponsored Stories are adds that feature user actions like check-ins with Facebook Places or information from Facebook apps at the heart of the commercial message. Facebook told Mashable that “the advertiser is not controlling the message; it’s about actions.” It’s an interesting move for Facebook but we’re not sure how often we want to see our mates fizzogs peering out at us from adverts.
