iPad-batman-art

iPad decals, you’ve met your match. DC Comics artist Jim Lee has taken his artistic talents to the next level, scribbling an image of Batman directly onto an iPad to create this amazing piece of ultra-rare art. For once, it’s not the screen of the iPad that’s the focus of fanboy attention, but the back. Can you believe this is drawn directly onto the iPad’s metal skin?

Jim Lee created the work using micron permanent markers, scribbling patches of ink onto the iPad’s shell, then smudging it to make it stick in place. Layers were built up and, gradually, Batman began to take shape on the back of Apple’s bestselling gadget.

And the best bit? You can win this iPad. DC Comics are offering Jim Lee’s work as a prize! Head here, to enter the Batman iPad sweepstake, and see the video below to see Jim Lee creating his high-tech masterpiece!
