Is the Cloud Touch the Facebook phone?Facebook has gone on record to dismiss the idea of the social network releasing their own smartphone. However, a filing over at the Bluetooth SIG for the INQ Cloud Touch, may suggest otherwise. Is this the rumored Facebook phone we’ve been waiting for?

Filed on December 23rd, the INQ Cloud Touch is described as an Android smartphone built to make messaging faster and smarter. It’s designed around the way people naturally communicate and has Facebook built into its core. While INQ is best known for producing handsets with deep social networking integration, this filing suggests the Cloud Touch maybe be more.

First reported by Pocketnow, the Cloud Touch is becoming quite an interesting story. INQ has altered the certification record by removing the official name, replacing it with T2-219U, and nixing the last two sentences of the description — effectively ending all references to “Facebook”. Either the cat’s out of the bag or INQ simply wants to downplay the phone — the expectations of a Facebook phone are certainly off the grid at this point in the smartphone game.

So what do you think? Are we looking at the real deal, bonafide, Facebook phone? Is the Cloud Touch a collaboration between the social networking empire and INQ or is this simply just another social networking handset? Sound off.
