Got a Logitech Squeezebox internet radio-cum-media streamer? Now you can tap into Spotify through it! The two entertainment firms have joined up to bring Spotify’s software genius to Logitech’s Squeezebox hardware.
All you need to make the most of it is a Spotify Premium account, and a Squeezebox, obviously. A beta version of the Spotify app for Squeezebox Touch and Squeezebox Radio is now available from MySqueezebox.com/spotify. In the “very near future” Spotify and Logitech tell us that beta tag will go the way of the dodo.
The Squeezebox Spotify app taps into all the music you’d normally find on Spotify, offering up more than 10 million tracks, and all your Spotify playlists.
Is Spotify Squeezebox access enough to tempt you into a Premium account? Remember, it also comes with higher bitrate, CD-quality 320 kbps sound, offline and mobile access, as well as “exclusive music content”.
